 Rental of the panoramic Yurt

Perched  on a rocky cape, the panoramic yurt offers a splendid view of the region.  Accessible from our parking lot, you will need 15 to 20 minutes to access it with a vertical drop of 60 meters.

The rental of  yurts is perfect  to accommodate families, to spend an evening with friends or for romantic stays. This Mongolian-inspired house is livable in summer and winter and can comfortably accommodate five people, and up to seven people. Its convenient location allows you to access the network of hiking trails very easily. Exclusively heated with wood, you will appreciate the forest of Mont Caribou in all its rusticity.

Do you need freedom, large spaces, to fill up with nature? As for the rental of a chalet , the rental of the yurt gives the right to a  certain number of free access to the trails. Included for 2  people, these access rights will allow you  to survey more than 20 km of hiking trails , to see mining remains from the last century, mountain lakes, to admire exceptional flora and fauna, as well as breathtaking landscapes.

   Included in the yurts​ s:

  • Wood stove, firewood and ax;

  • Double bunk bed with a single bed;

  • Additional double mattress;

  • Basic crockery for 4 people and crockery tray;

  • Cauldron for melting snow;

  • Coleman stove ( carboy  not included);

  • Dry toilet nearby.

   Remember to bring:

  • Water (a lot);

  • Small propane tank:  rental possible at an additional price ;

  • Matches, fire lighters and a newspaper;

  • Toilet paper;

  • Dish towels, biodegradable soap and scouring sponge;

  • Warm blankets or sleeping bags and pillows;

  • Your lighting. Remember to bring something to light up if that's what you are using;

  • A small jar for young children.

Note that wood for outdoor fire (summer only) is not included, an additional price is necessary in order to have it.

Animals prohibited on trails and accommodation

Access rights to the trails are included for 2 people.

A shower is available near the Desjardins chalet.

​

Arrival is from 1 p.m. and maximum departure at 11 a.m.

To note  :

  • Access to the yurt requires 15 to 20 minutes of walking on a mountain hiking trail  from the parking lot. 

  • Strollers are impractical on the trails. Baby bags are more recommended. We rent one for $ 4.

  • Sledges  should be avoided because our trails are sloping. Backpacks are preferable. 

What there is to know

  • Generally, there is no electricity.

  • Normally there is a wood stove.

  • Sometimes you have to bring your sleeping pad.

  • Always bring your sleeping bag.

  • Lighting with small candles is not very illuminating.

  • It is recommended to bring quality water.

  • What you bring, you must bring back.

  • Chinese fondue is generally not a good idea.

  • And at 2 a.m., you will get up to put a log in the fireplace.
